I have a thing for survival horror flicks, so I was initially turned off at the comedy aspect of this film. I almost didn't watch it because of this but I'm glad I did.

Call me a sucker, but I love a good character driven story, where the plot takes a back seat and the actors show the audience, you don't need a big budget to keep your viewers engaged. It's a huge gamble, because if the actors don't deliver, the movie will fall flat on its face.

"Harpoon" is an Canadian English-language movie from 2019 and the most recent filmmaking effort from writer and director Rob Grant. He is otherwise also a prolific editor, but still, this one here is not his first movie as the man in charge behind the camera by any means.

I have to admit that I went into this movie with NO expectations - I heard it briefly described but was told to go into it without reading too much about it. I was blown away!

Some people should stop expecting every movie to be Oscar material. Grab your significant other, popcorn, drinks, kick back and enjoy.

Honestly the horror/thriller realm needs more movies like this. I always try to find something similar but just can't.

This movie was so awful, I actually had to fast forward through parts of it. Don't waste your time.

I heard good things but honestly less than halfway through I couldn't stand the characters and didn't care at all.
