I gave this movie a 10, just because it is so bad that seems it was shot like that in purpose. A hidden gem in horrible movies.

This was a huge hit among teens at my school in 1983 when I was 16. I never got around to see it back then – and it's a strangely fascinating feeling watching this hybrid of a teen movie/music video tale trying to come across as serious, today.

I have no gripe about this movie. The plot is an adaptation of what The Great Gatsby, which I love.

G, The Hip-hop Great Gatsby opened the Kansas Film Festival and I got a ticket. I'm not at all a fan of Hip-hop (although Hustle and Flow was terrific!

...but no cigar.

Having the best film title around is about all G has going for it. Richard T.

I saw the movie "G" last night 10/29/05 and I feel like we paid $7.50 too much.

Like this review, G could never capture the eloquence of F. Scott Fitzgerald.
