The only setback the film faced has faced unwanted hate due to some stupid people trying to bring down the plot if film ratings, review due to political atmosphere in the country at time of its release. The movie in itself is like a fluent story.
Being a biopic this movie should have provided true information but it distorts the real story.
First of all let me mention i am a great fan of Dipika Padukone and have watched every single movie of her but when it comes to chhapaak this movie is special . Hats off to actors they did a great job .
Chhapaak (Splash) kept me hooked with its pseudo-real-life storyline talking about the cause of acid attack survival and associated legality in India but it still is a far inferior drama compared to Meghna Gulzar's own standards, only further aggravated by a lethargic lead performance. TN.

Chhapaak is difficult to watch but it is also difficult to look away from. It reminds you of multiple incidences of your childhood which may not waver around acid attacks but other incidences that had blocked the confidence of your own life.
