Lisa's pregnancy doesn't show when she offers to help find a surgeon, but when the surgery takes place a few months later she appears ready to give birth.

This movie is about the dignified chemistry of a young girl and the father figure which is acted upon very well with beautiful cinematography .Dialogues are beyond belief added with the child like sensitivity and mesmerizing beauty of WINONA RYDER.

Movie is the love story about an old playboy and an ill young girl that must die in a few months.

"Autumn in New York" stars Richard Gere as a middle aged man who falls for the the considerably younger Charolette Fielding, played by Winona Ryder. Fielding's your typical free-spirited pixie, who just happens to be dying, a death which will teach Gere several lessons about love, loss and commitment.

If you are a person that was burned in love somewhere in the past, you'll have a life experience when watching this movie. And if you aren't that person, the same applies.

It's more like fantasy. Of course, it's likely to happen in real life, but it is indented to show the fantasies of men and women.

I watched this movie primarily because I like Winona Ryder. At first I was not very excited to discover the movie was for the most part a remake of LOVE STORY.

Oh it has its flaws, that's for sure. But still, I love the overall tone and feeling.

No major spoilers.I agree with most reviewers; the chemistry between the leads was not good, and that lowers the film from a higher review.
