I have only just watched the first season. Decided to watch the entire season 1 because I saw it has higher rating than my other favorite shows like Friends, Its Always Sunny, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory.
I sleep much better at night knowing that Netflix never picked up my favorite sitcom, an almost perfect show, and ruined it's legacy with 2 mediocre seasons. This show is so well written, you find yourself re-watching, finding new jokes, more callbacks, and coming away thinking it's even funnier than the last time.
The first three seasons are hilarious and original but the following seasons are poorly conceived and dull. After this I hope they weren't released honestly.
Seasons 1 to 3 where great, the show was revived in 2013 by Netflix and from this point it was not the same anymore and even getting really bad.
I thought I would give Arrested Development a watch since it has been getting so many rave reviews. I acquired all three seasons, and after watching 2.
My favorite type of show is comedy. So naturally i watched quite a few sitcoms.
George Bluth (Jeffrey Tambor) runs the family business of property development. He gets arrested and puts the family out of its comfort zone.
This is the best sitcom I have ever come across. It's just so refreshing compared to the rest of the bunch.
In the first season, as another reviewer wrote, yo have to get the hang of it, but after that you will see that they reinvented the sitcoms, I can easily see Alan Harper on Tobias, although both series came out the same year, I am not sure if that was the case that the look Tobias to build up Alan, and again Tobias introduces the jokes about a character with a suspicious sexuality.Anyhow it was ahead of its time, and if you look closely to the other characters as well, you will find copycats on the following sitcoms.
