This film was so overwhelmingly realistic. The acting was amazing and I was so drawn into the characters lives.
This movie delivered! What did the illiterates expect!
Actions have to make sense right? Now if someone you know was to be hurt by another person (I'm putting it mildly and it also happens right at the start of the movie), you'd be excused for wanting - actually make that needing answers to why.
I think this movie has a smiliar feel too shotcaller with jamie lannister except that in shotcaller he had choices, this person is just a product of hes environment. Its not the most interesting story but its some great storytelling.
Ashton Sanders is amazing and his acting just kept taking my breath away every time. This movie touched me in its realism, and made me see the world through different eyes.
The acting didn't completely suck, but I just couldn't get past the terrible accents and unoriginal plot. This movie is supposed to take place in Oakland California, but the main characters sound nothing close.
