This is all about Fabia , a woman who has a peacock outside her window that causes her sleepless nights due to the noise so she goes to the chemist for sleeping pills while wondering what to wear at a fancy hat competition The narrative isn't all that important to the story which is told via mainly animation , sound effects and captions . In other words it's an animated short and this is where A PEACOCK TALE falls down to a certain extent - It's an acquired taste and one that I didn't care for at all .
Fabia is a flapper and the peacock is, well, a peacock; however the two have an uneasy battle brewing between them. As Fabia, tired from her work, prepares to go to bed for a good night's sleep, the peacock takes up position outside of her bedroom window.
So far only two other people have commented on "A Peacock Tale" and both of them have given it fairly negative/indifferent reviews. So I would like to offer a differing opinion - I thought it excellent and it was one of my favourite films in the recent "Homegrown Hollywood" series on BBC2.
