Reviews

The characters ran about on a see through floor, underneath, the shark, on the stepping surface, tiny piles of glass, hard to see. A small community-based motivation evolved (the need for shoes).

Jaws. The only shark movie that matters, and yet they fascinate and scare us and we enjoy being scared by them.

With a lot of good will, a little bit thrilling. Lots of unrealistic and not logical stuff all over the place.

This movie is hands down one of the three worst movies I have ever seen. It is incredibly inaccurate in every detail.

So I went into this movie knowing the mixed reviews except I never read them because I wanted to go into it and once it finished I could voice my opinions, which I'm about to do. I think the best thing about this movie are the 2 actresses who are stuck in this cage because they absolutely carry the film especially when 85% of the runtime is literally just those 2 characters Lisa and Kate.

I'm shocked at the low score of this film and the much higher score of a lake Lively's Shallows film. I found this one to have far more depth (no pun intended) and entertainment value by far!

TLDR: Probably one of the best shark movies I've seen. Good characters overall, realistic CGI, mediocre storyline with an unexpected ending, backed by great cinematography and soundtrack.

Beautifully done! I had a great time with this one!

Right from the start - even before we had met it - my money was on the shark. Four rather uninteresting and unlikeable teenage girls go diving off the Mexican coast to explore the underwater ruins of an ancient Mayan city.
