This film has a ton of problems, but one thing it definitely got right was the casting of the voyeur landlord. He's creepy and disgusting ("rotten mayonnaise," is how I think his smell is described).
Trust me when I say this... This film is a lot better than what the trailer makes it look.
Wow! "Psycho" meets "The Guiding Light.
To start this review i have to give MY summary of the film. A pregnant woman who is attractive is watched by a creep.
This movie is awful. It's just stupid, lame and predictable.
It's not one of the best horror or suspense films, but for me it kept me interested to see what would happen at the end. If you're expecting a happy ending, don't hold your breath.
In order to immersive audience in stalker / home invasion horror, the movie needs to have a sympathetic protagonist, invitingly bad antagonist and a condition to set up the ordeal. "Slumlord" only presents half of that as none of the characters are appealing.
This horror movie is quite bad. I gave it a 4 because I was quite disappointed after it finished but this would be somewhere between 4 and 5 for me.
Creepy, disturbing and disgusting. The ending is unbelievable.
