Kosovo (/ˈkɒsəvoʊ, ˈkoʊ-/; Albanian: Kosova ; Serbian Cyrillic: Косово) is a disputed territory and partially recognised state in Southeastern Europe that declared its independence from Serbia in February 2008 as the Republic of Kosovo.
