Keith Michell (1 December 1926 – 20 November 2015) was an actor from South Australia, particularly noted for his television and film performances as King Henry VIII of England.
The Keith Michell Theatre in Port Pirie, South Australia, was named after him, as he grew up in the area.
Was considered for the role of "Captain Von Trapp" in The Sound of Music .
He has a son, Paul Michell , and a daughter, Helena Michell.
Played "Henry VIII" in four separate productions, the most famous is the 1970 miniseries "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" .
