Katie Underwood is best known for her success with Australian dance act Disco Montego and her Top 10 hit Beautiful, released in May 2002. Beautiful won the award for Most Played Australian Dance Track at the 2003 APRA awards and received 2 ARIA nominations in 2002 - for Best Pop Release and Best Video. Her first solo single Danger also earned her a 2nd APRA nomination for Most played Australian Dance Track in 2004. Her latest offering is a collaboration with T-Funk .

Quit Bardot to pursue a solo career
(January 2006) Katie has again collaborated with Australian DJ Mr. Timothy to produce her latest single Be Together, which was officially launched at the 2005 Melbourne GayAZ Expo in September 2005. Katie is currently in negotiations to make this single available for general release, along with other recent works. She continues to write her music, and regularly performs live at various venues around Melbourne.
