British actress
Educated at White House Primary School, Redcar where a fellow pupil was Anne Reid and together they appeared in a school production of Romeo and Juliet.
She was a partner of Hughie Green for a number of years and lived in adjoining flats in a block above Baker Street Tube Station in London.
Took over the licence of The Royal Hotel in Redcar from her parents in the 60s.
Was a member of the Rank Charm School.
