Born in Los Angeles, California, Joe has changed careers and cities a great deal. Starting in high school he worked as an information technology consultant, eventually moving on to video game testing with Interplay, teaching English in Suwon, South Korea, clerking for law firms, and finally producing the feature film Pretty Dead.
