Was a good friend to Jerry Lewis and happened to be working with Lewis, preparing for a part on "Law & Order: SVU" when he was stricken at New York Citys Waldorf Astoria Hotel and died.
Taught at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in Holywood from the late 60s until 1979, when he moved to Las Vegas and opened the Joseph Bernard Acting Studio.
