She made her television debut in 1994 as a contestant on Blind Date hosted by Cilla Black.
Gave birth to her first child at age 35, a daughter Ella Rose Midgley on September 21, 2011. Childs father is her husband, James Midgley.
[on her 1994 TV debut on "Blind Date" (1985) ] I just went on the,programme for fun, but I got a real taste for television. I was,spoiled, really, as on the show I saw only the good things about the,industry. I was doing an interview on radio about Blind Date and how I,now wanted to work in television. Then literally a week later, someone,who had heard the interview asked me to audition for a programme. Six,weeks after Blind Date had transmitted, I got my first presenting job. .
