Biography

Gregory Walcott grew up in North Carolina and went into the Army just after the end of World War II. After leaving the service, he grew restless on the East Coast and, with $100 in his pocket, thumbed his way west to pursue an acting career. An agent who spotted him in a little theater play helped Walcott land his debut movie role in _Red Skies of Montana .

During the 1970s served as a great "ham-fisted" foil to Clint Eastwood , appearing in four of Eastwoods films: The Eiger Sanction , Every Which Way But Loose , Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and Joe Kidd . Usually Eastwood would pummel Walcott to a bloody pulp by the end of the picture.

Greg was introduced to his wife Barbara at a party by Hollywood legend, Dale Evans. Greg and Barbara had been married for 55 years when Barbara passed away on June 14, 2010.
