Fatima Siad was born on January 1, 1986, in Mogadishu, Somalia. She grew up as a child of three . After Cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model was over, Fatima transferred back to Bryn Mawr College.
While on "Americas Next Top Model" , was often compared to fellow Somali supermodel Iman.
Submitted an autobiography on Orato.com, called "Vulnerable Beauty: Finding My Voice." In it, she talks about female circumcision, also known as FGM (female genital mutilation), and her hopes for changes in the practice to make it "less horrendous [for young girls].".
