On 14 June 2010 it was reported that she turned down the chance to become a professional golfer after receiving two scholarships from American universities.

On 5 April 2010 modeled at the eighth annual fashion show Dressed to Kilt.

Won 6 medals from European Curling Championships - one gold in 2011; 4 silver in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015; one bronze in 2014.

Won 4 gold medals from World Junior Curling Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011.

First appeared on the world curling scene at the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships in Eveleth, Minnesota, as a third with skip Sarah Reid and won the gold medal.

Won 2 medals from World Championships - one gold in 2013 and one silver in 2010.

Has two brothers - Glen and Thomas, who are also both accomplished curlers.

Her father, Gordon, was also an international curler, who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics, where curling was a demonstration sport and was alternate for Scotlands 1999 gold medal winning World Championship team. He also won world silver medals in 1992, 1993 and 1995.

Grew up in Blair Atholl, Scotland where she still lives and plays golf off scratch handicap at Pitlochry Golf Course.

Was skip for the Scottish team at the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships in stersund, beating Sweden (skipped by Cecilia stlund) 12-3 in the final.

Won 6 gold medals from Scottish Womens Curling Championship in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

Won one gold medal from the 2012 European Mixed Championship.

In December 2009 was awarded the BBC Scotland Young Sports Personality of the year for her achievements in curling.

Is a curler.

Won one bronze Olympic medal in 2014 in Sochi.
