Eva Gabor was born on February 11, 1919 in Budapest, Hungary, to 'Jolie Gabor' playing her attorney husband Oliver Wendell Douglas. Eva Gabor died at age 76 from respiratory failure and pneumonia and July 4, 1995 in Los Angeles, California.

She was the first of the Gabors to immigrate to the United States from Hungary.

She was also a successful businesswoman, marketing wigs, clothing and beauty products.

Following her death, she was interred near "Green Acres" co-star Eddie Albert at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetary in Los Angeles, California.

In November 1957, Eva was the landlady of actor Jim Backus - he sublet her New York City apartment.

Following a bathtub fall while on vacation in Mexico, Gabor died later in Los Angeles from pneumonia and respiratory failure on July 4, 1995.

She was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6614 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on October 23, 1984.

Best remembered by the public for her starring role as the socialite turned farm wife Lisa Douglas on "Green Acres" .

Had played the same character (Lisa Douglas) on three different series: "The Beverly Hillbillies" , "Petticoat Junction" and "Green Acres" .

Of the three Gabor sisters, she was the only one who was never married to George Sanders. He was married to Zsa Zsa Gabor from 1949-1954 and to Magda Gabor from 1970-1971.

Her niece, Francesca Hilton , died at age 67 of a massive stroke on January 5, 2015. She was cremated and her ashes were interred beside her at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was a staunch Republican.

She was both a dog and cat lover.

She was a first cousin, once removed, of Annette Lantos (born Tilleman), the wife of U.S. Congressman Tom Lantos , of California. Her mother and Annette were first cousins.

Eva was born in Budapest, the daughter of Vilmos Gabor (born Farkas Mikls Grn) and Jolie Gabor , Countess de Szigethy (born Janka Tilleman). Her parents were both from Jewish families. Her paternal grandparents were Salamon Grn and Rozlia Kluger. Her maternal grandparents, originally from Ukraine, were Jn Hersch Tilleman and Chawe Feige Reinharz.

From her marriage to Dick Brown, Eva had two stepdaughters: Mary and Joanne.
