The twins performed at the famous "Lido" in Paris from 1955 to 1960.

Although it is inaccurate to say she is actually a character in Peter Handke s "anti-play," "The Ride Across Lake Constance," her name is used as a designation of a character, as are the names of other celebrated actors of the German cinema, Elisabeth Bergner , Heinrich George , Erich von Stroheim , Emil Jannings , Henny Porten and her twin sister Alice Kessler.
At the age of 40, she and her sister stripped off for a controversial photo shoot for Playboy Italy.
