Biography

Daniel Eric Sanchez is an Spanish/Guatamalan actor, writer, musician and artist. Born to two missionaries in Panama during a 1968 civil war, he was driven home from the hospital at two days old while guerrilla soldiers attacked the road they were on. His father, Daniel Raul Sanchez, was able to get the family to safety only because he knew a relative of one of the soldiers and had previously been kind to her. Daniel attended various schools around the country as he grew up, attending a year of university as a Piano Composition major at William Jewel before moving south to study graphic design at the University of North Texas. He fell into on-camera work accidentally at age 34 when he stepped in for a model who failed to arrive on time at a magazine shoot he was art directing. Sending the photo to that model's agency as a joke, they signed him the next day. He found success in print and video work for MacDonald's, American Airlines, Miller Beer, Hasbro, and Pizza Hut. While at an audition for a Toyota commercial, a representative of 20th Century Fox asked him if he'd like to appear in _Walking Tall: Lone Justice "
