China Chow

After the original pilot for the tv show "Young Americans" was filmed the producers cast Chow as an additional character named Paige. However, she backed out at the last minute and the character was dropped.

Niece of actress Tsai Chin and Adelle Lutz.

Had no prior acting experience before her first role in The Big Hit .

Daughter of the late Tina Chow , a fashion icon of the 80s, and Michael Chow.

Maternal niece of singer David Byrne (of The Talking Heads fame), who is married to Tina Chow s sister, Adelle Lutz.

Eschewed the party scene to take care of her mother, who was dying of AIDS in the early 1990s (Tina Chow passed away in January 1992).

Holds a B.A. in Psychology from Scripps College.

Siblings: One younger brother, Maximillian Chow , and one younger half-sister, Asia.

Following in the footsteps of her mother and her aunt, China also modeled for Shiseido cosmetics.
