Timothy Masters was a lonely, troubled teenager with a penchant for gory artwork when he first saw Peggy Lee Hettrick… …her dead, mutilated body nearly frozen in the early morning of Fort Collins, Colorado.

The extent to which public officials went to get a conviction then cover their tracks -- justice be damned -- was mind-boggling. For that reason alone, this is a book worth reading.
A great read for my grandson gift to him.
What impact did the book have on me? Profound.
This poor man suffered enough for many life-times. I was so disappointed at a couple of the people mentioned.
A very disturbing read- I have a degree in Criminal Justice Administration and we reviewed this case in one of our classes. The incompetence and "railroading" Tim Masters endured by the Larimer County Sheriff's department and Fort Collins police is the stuff of which nightmares are made.
I work in criminal law and live in Boulder, CO so I have heard about this crazy story. Masters does a great job sharing his perspective of these events and showing how guilty people can and do get convicted.
I live in Fort Collins Colorado and kept up with this story so was very anxious to read this book! Incredible story and well put I learned new things about the case I didn't know before my best to Timothy Masters.
This book was particularly interesting to me having lived in that town many years and I had followed the news accounts of this. Even with all the media hype, I always felt that this young man was railroaded by the police.
Bottom Line Up Front: never, Never, NEVER speak with a law enforcement official without an Attorney present!!!"Drawn To Injustice" is both a tragic tale and a strong reminder that power corrupts and the result of complacency can be evil.
I just got done reading the book today, and I'm more than ever disgusted with the so called 'Justice System.' As I said in someone else's remarks, this System only works if you have connections and/or cash.
I really enjoyed this book because of how close it is to me. I live in Fort Collins, know of many of the cops mentioned and a member of Judicial Justice.
This book is very entertaining and insightful! I am really glad that I get to see the whole story and not just what the media tells us.
This is a must read. If you do not think something so awful could happen to you, just read this book!!
It's hard for me to review this one without judging what happened to Timothy Masters. He was accused of a murder he clearly didn't commit and was convicted because a detective didn't want to admit he'd made a mistake?!?!?!
