As a constant visitor to the Afghan region, knowing the complete history of the U.S.
Interesting.
"When everyone is dead the Great Game is finished. Not before.
Makes your hair stand on end! Crazy, our own doing!.
Bought this as a gift.
My husband loved this book and so does my son.
Precisely the pseudo clap trap driving our foreign policy and public opinion about a way of life, a people and an environment damned few have experienced.
Extremely well researched, but not the kind of book I was looking for. Having lived in Pakistan and being familiar with much of the subject matter and even having met some of the people mentioned in it, I thought I would love this book.
Good purchase and good seller.
Very well written.
Still the best documented account of the intelligence and military background for the Afghanistan wars and the origins of Al Queda. Totally relevant still.
Love.
A great book, one of the best non-fiction books I've ever read. Without giving away what he thinks, he gives us the whole thing from beginning up to September 10, 2001.
I had to choose a book to read, and then write about for my "Advanced Composition" course. This book is very well written, and above all amazingly sourced.
