I started reading this book because I was in the mood for a straight-up monsters causing havoc story. Therefore, I enjoyed it until the business of black magic, a villain who's played too much D&D, and appeasing the devil came into play.
Quite frankly, I didn't expect a lot when I picked up Gnelfs. I thought it looked kitschy and had a great cover, so I grabbed it.
I have to disagree with the previous reviewer. "Gnelfs" is a solid book, though I did Like Williams' "Blood Hunter" and "Night Brother" better.
Don't waste your time or money on this book. The plot is stupid and the characters are hollow and unbelievable.
