I have just started working my way through these arrangements. As a beginning pianist, I find them challenging but not impossible and great fun to play.
Such a cool book for wanna-be Monkers! Ok,so maybe we can't all be as stellar as TM,but at least now when Grandma Thyra asks you to whip out a tune on the ole piana,you can treat her to a bit of groove.
The music in this book is easy to read and play even for the novice piano player. I am sure that I will begin to play some of these tunes in the near future with a certain amount of confidence.
This is a nice little song book. While the compositions are "easy", they are still quite a challenge for a beginning piano student.
My teacher turned me onto this book and I really enjoy playing the songs. It is not too easy but certainly not at the level Monk played the songs either.....
