Although the first book in this series is so well-written, the author outdid herself with a more complex story line in this romantic and suspenseful murder mystery. While reading this series, the reader gets to know the quirky senior citizens, who like to solve murder mysteries while making every effort to live life to the fullest, gradually and almost observes them as the events unfold because the book is so descriptive.
Fun series of mysteries set in Florida with a bunch of older ladies as sleuths. Rita Lakin should have written many more of these!.
I enjoyed the second book to this series. Clever storyline and I like Gladdy's wit.
This book proves that old is not done. Ladies of the silver variety solve murder mysteries while showing kindness, love and friendship.
Love this series. This book met my expectations was suspenseful, funny and very entertaining to the very end of the read.
Gladdy Gold trusts her intuition, even if it seems like nobody else does. When three wealthy women with younger husbands all die of seemingly natural causes, she is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Funny and easy to relate to! I love it and want more about these "friends" in FL!.
I have now read three Gladdy Gold books, and I have like them all. I hope Rita Lakin keeps on with this series.
Very enjoyable book. My 84-year-old mother enjoyed it, too.
Very Entertaining. Quick read that keeps you turning pages, hard to put down.
WHILE READING THE REVIEWS, I WAS STRUCK BY THE TONE OF "MYSFAN"'S CRITIQUE OF ANOTHERS REVIEW. SHE MADE IT SOUND LIKE IF YOU DIDN'T LOVE THIS BOOK, SOMEHOW YOU HATED THE ELDERLY OR SOMETHING.
Gladdy Gold and Associates, Detective Agency, are at it again and enjoying every minute. Gladdy and her girls, as she calls her group, start this book with a case of trailing a wandering husband and one of looking for a flasher at their Florida community of retirees.
After their success in catching a serial killer ("Getting Old Is Murder"), 75 year old Gladdy Gold, her sister Evvie, and friends Ida, Bella, and Sophie open the Gladdy Gold Detective Agency. They have plenty of clients, including a woman who thinks her 85 year old husband is cheating on her, plus they'd like to catch the flasher that is targeting their retirement complex.
Second in the series, after reading #1 I knew I'd reach for the next one :) love the idea of the elderly women getting together and solving mysteries :) and all the bickering that goes on between them is totally adorable :) :) very nice quick and enjoyable read :).
Second volume of Gladdy Gold series. It's as good as the first one.
