Is it a business or technical book? Is it a how-to or ideas-based book?
[[VIDEOID:moJF72KBXH65ML]]"Bad presentations," the authors warn, "will lose deals, cause missed opportunities, and otherwise negatively affect the chances of success in any number of organizational ventures and projects." They wrote this book to help leaders move from sleep-inducing standard PowerPoint presentations to lively, imaginative, captivating presentations using the incredible potential of iPad.
I feel that with any career path you take and no matter where you go in life, being a strong, creative communicator is critical. Killer Presentations With your iPad has given me new perspectives and techniques on how I can better communicate; whether I’m in a one-on-one conversation, or in front of larger groups.
This book gives good tips on all aspects of speaking, but most importantly, it gives me IDEAS—imaginative ideas, some bold and clever ones to use in my sales presentations where I sell commercial 3D printers. And, quite interestingly, the book even has a section on using 3D printers to create valuable prototypes and props that will give some serious bang to your talks!
"Killer Presentations With Your iPad is a terrific book for new or even seasoned, highly successful salespeople, marketers and business development professionals. I am so inspired- I think I can finally nail my story!
I don't even own an iPad so I wondered at first if this book would even be helpful to me. Absolutely it was!
This is an extraordinary book--critical at this time--for all types of presenters, whether business or technical. It is especially valuable for salespeople who want a persuasive edge to stand out from their competition.
As a devoted, long time Apple products and OS fan and user, I was so glad a great book came out that gave me complete and valuable techniques and tips on using my iPad for giving a truly "Killer Presentation" - I use a MBP for work and have integrated using my iPad for client presentations. I travel extensively for work and this helps me to get set up and ready very quickly.
The future of presentations is about successfully leveraging technology to create realism, excitement and efficiency of communication for intellectual and emotional impact. My firm the epic software group, has successfully used multimedia and video to give our clients the winning edge to clinch deals and to have presentations that make traditional PowerPoints look ancient.
I generally shy away from reading these business/technical books unless I really need to. But this book really surprised me.
This innovative book is just plain amazing! Chock full of tips, techniques, examples, ideas, stories and a section on (presentation, iPad and audiovisual) resources like none other out there.
I'm a self-proclaimed geek who could be termed a "mild" Apple FanBoy (and yes, I use other devices regularly such as Windows 8). I also do my share of technical presentations, but was becoming somewhat bored with using the iPad as a simple Powerpoint "slide flipper" device.
As a designer, I've created and developed lots of of corporate presentations for various clients over the years. Many of them have been those I'd call of a "classic deck" type -- solid, professionally done, and slightly predictable in their overall effect.
Killer Presentations with your iPad is an eye opening, mind-expanding (and sometimes jaw-dropping) excursion into the how, the why and everything in between about using Apple's iPad as a 21st Century "WOW THEM" presentation tool. The authors beautifully focus on fresh perspectives of presentation fundamentals and techniques while giving numerous truly "killer" ideas, tips and strategies on vital, advanced topics not covered in any books of this type that I've ever experienced.
You've probably given a few and you've slept through a few, convincing you that SNOOZER presentations are LOSER presentations. A quick and fascinating read, this book paves the way for ANYONE to exponentially enhance their persuasive influence -- whether one-on-one or one-to-many.
