I heard about this book abd writer from anthony bourdain in vietnam. the book is very well written, evoked a lot of emotions, and raised a lot of questions, which i raiised with vietnamese friends.
I recommend this book highly! A very good read.
I sought out this book after being introduced to the author via Anthony Bourdain's CNN travel/food show Parts Unknown when he recently went to Hue in Vietnam. It was worth my effort to find as it was everything I could have hoped.
I enjoyed reading this book. The book provided insight to better understand the Vietnamese culture, and history.
I bought this for my husband, who served in Vietnam, after a recent trip there. He said it is fascinating reading for anyone who has visited or plans to.
