Wow. I recommend this to everyone I know.
I gave this 5 stars not because it was an exceptionally well written book but because the entire time I was reading it I was thinking how I could beleive someone could fall into the trap of an eating disorder. During her early teen years Portia wants to model unfortunalty no one told her that she was perfect for her age they reinforced her own low self image.
Very moving. Her battles with food are so vivid; it's painful to read.
Amazing. Heartbreaking.
Amazing and emotional book! well done Portia for being able to share something so personal and hard to go through.
I would give this book 5 stars for the bravery factor alone. to tell the true story, the story in your head, watch she heard day after is so dark and so honest it would scare the shit out of most people.
