Brilliant book. Wonderful look to the illustrations but also a delightful feel of an old Jewish household.
I loved this book. It's an early work of his and shows you the direction in which he was headed.
Philip Sendak's story/account as shared with his son, Maurice, who illustrates the story. A beautiful example of capturing the oral tradition for future generations.
