Perfect.
Doing my best as a rabid STL Cards fan to steer my grandsons into the light, so that they don't do anything foolish like become Cubs fans. This book is a good first step mainly for the younger set.
This is a great story about the St. Louis Cardinal's mascot as told by Cardinals' and MLB Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith.
It's the story of a day in the life of Fredbird. Being that it was published in 2006, it includes the new Busch Stadium, the Musial statue and the Arch in the background!
We ordered this book as a gift for our grandson. We are pairing it with a baseball signed by Ozzie Smith that we were able to get recently.
The short book takes young readers on a tour of the ballpark on with Fredbird. Very well done, nice illustrations and good quality.
I am a Cardinals fan and a preschool teacher, so this book is perfect for me. I teach 4 and 5 year olds, and they love to see their mascot and stadium in an easy to read and memorize book.
