I enjoyed this book. I loved that Evelyn worked in an orphanage as that has been something that interests me.
Any novel by Melissa Jagears is worth reading and A Love So True is no exception. While I felt the plot sounded a lot like the first book in the series (A Heart Most Certain), I found myself drawn in from the first chapter to the very end.
The Teaville Moral Society continues to be well done. It is deeper than the mail order bride series and pure enjoyment to read.
This book took me forever to read, but NOT because it was a slow-moving story. It was totally fantastic.
Evelyn Wisely is the kind of person who wants to help as many people as she can. While she is working with children who are orphans she starts to feel bad for others that also need help.
With energy and enthusiasm, Melissa Jaegears captures the heart of philanthropy in her latest novel, A Love So True. In fact, I would be surprised if readers weren't inspired to take on a cause of their own - I know I sure was!
Book two in the Teaville Moral Society, A Love So True, by Melissa Jagears is a story readers will enjoy from page one. It is about a woman that works with the orphans of the red light district in hopes of getting them to leave that life and strive to make a better life for themselves.
"A Love So True" is a Christian romance set in 1908 in Kansas. It's the second book in a series, and you can understand this book without reading the previous one.
I absolutely adored this book! The hero, David, stole my heart.
Powerful intriguing Christian Fiction at its finest. Makes you stop and think about the way we judge others and to look at others in the way Christ sees them.
The characters in this book felt very real because they were both flawed. David struggled a bit with insecurity due to an overbearing father who failed to support David's choices and dreams.
After a solid start to this new series with A Heart Most Certain, Melissa Jagears follows up with an equally enthralling and beautiful story. I found myself hooked from the first chapter, and so happy to be back in Teaville with the Moral Society ladies, eagerly awaiting what new adventures they would enterprise.
What a wonderful Historical Fiction read. This is the second book in the Teaville Moral Society series, but it could be read as a standalone.

A Love So True is written with great depth and feeling, with characters so vivid and real that you may just forget that they only live inside the pages of this book. While this book is #2 in the series, new readers won't feel lost picking up this book.
