Okay.
This book is a treasure. Though what Martha writes about her early life, her years as an actress, the actors & actresses she knew and with whom she worked, her friends in Hollywood, her marriage to Producer Hall Wallis is very interesting, this book is more more than only a Hollywood memoir.
A beautiful lady, Martha had great success in movies and wrote and easy to read interesting book. Some explanation of her financial problems would have been helpful for better understanding.
YES!! Finally I found a book on the beauitiful and great actress Martha Hyer.
I purchased this book used. I always avoid Hollywood autobiographies, they are usually not very good.
One of the best Hollywood memoirs, Hyer tells the ultimate Cinderella story with the wisdom of one who had lived through good times and bad. She wasn't always the nicest person, and she's not ashamed to tell all about herself.
Martha's story is captivating and honest. She shares a valuable lesson with her audience.
This book is written by someone who is impressed by impression--the importance of what the world sees, not a true journey, as the title suggests. It reads like a list of designer labels, without meaningful content.
