The start of this book I thought was fantastic,it begins with a very ugly situation but the writing is so great that you want to keep going. Around page 75 it starts to lose me,more characters more points of view which I found slowed me down.
Winner of the World Fantasy Award, The Printz award as well as recommended by my favourite author, Mr. Gaiman I had truly high expectations for this book.
I was dreading reading this book, but as it was on my course list it had to be done. The idea of a book centred around a victim of both incest and rape, whose only escape is to build a world of her own, thus escaping the real world, conjures up thoughts of despair and disgust.
