I cant believe what this Family went trough.
Great book and arrived as described!.
Myself and 14 other book club members were quite disappointed in this book. It was not well written, way too wordy and many stories were totally disjointed.
I thought the book was a bit boring. It's basically the same thing over and over.
This is the second time I am reading this book. It's an amazing story and one that is true.
A great book. Sad story but also very thrilling.
I have recommend this book from the moment I read it. The writer has the ability to take to there to the underground jail with the family and feel the struggle to survive.
I found this book to be interesting and inspiring. I know some folks have said the author exaggerates and may even be making some of her memories up, but regardless, she and her family were imprisoned for many years and endured horrible conditions.
This story is very disturbing to see how too much power absolutely corrupts. The punishment levied upon the citizens, including the women, children & the elderly, was hard to fathom in our modern society.
Stolen lives captured my respect for the differences in cultures and the strength of family bonds.Their family legacy lives on.
It is sad story. I would recommend it to the others.
