This is a great book. A few things I learned from this book is the ability to be creative, resourceful and persistent with your business goals.
Act Now!: How I Turn Ideas into Million-Dollar ProductsIf you are an entrepreneur or are in sales and you want to be inspired or get actionable ways to triple your income, Kevin has it in the first part of his book.
Written by 'the Informercial King; Kevin Harrington, this book is fascinating if you're into infomercials, and or entrepreneurship involving direct response and media. The book is about 2/3 great with biographical info, historical info, and operational info, and tells a great story.
Kevin wrote an amazing book that should be must reading for every entrepreneur. It is filled with great stories from his incredible journey and it also pulls back the curtain on how the infomercial industry got started - a fascinating read!.
Act now is one the best books I've ever read for several reasons, its Kevin's real life experience, its honest because it explains unbelievable successes, and failures and throughout the failures Kevin never quit, he kept the glass half full and because of his successes he always had a vision and a strategic plan to always end up on top of the world. Kevin Harrington is webster definition of a true entrepreneur!.
This book is mainly the author patting himself on the back constantly for his many achievements. I found it very boring, very little useful information, and a lot of hot air.
Overall, I agree with the review by Duane Harris. I do wish Harrington would have spent a little more time explaining how to take a product from and idea to a profitable product.
I thought this book was direct to the point and it really help explain the informerical madness of the early 90's and how Kevin harness an untapped market and took it to the next level. He comes off as a low spoken investor on the hit show Shark Tank but he really is an expert when it comes to promoting your ideas/products and converting it into obscene amount of $$$$This book was good but it felt rushed at some time and other part it feel lacking.
