A steamy and sexy romance. It had some unexpected moments.
I really wanted to like this more than I did, but it was tough to get past the sex shaming that Heath went through. I understand the guy's mostly submissive, but when they wanted him to "apologize for his behavior" when he'd done absolutely nothing wrong, and he knew the apology was bullshit, he still went along with it.
2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Unguarded by Lou Kelly 1) There was nothing about this book that wasn't pretty much perfect. Perfect grammar and editing.
4.75 / 5 Stars I'm obsessed with bodyguards and rockstars so I jumped into this, fully expecting a good time...
There were many little moments in this story that make the overall story. And as some have pointed out, there are many times you might want to scream at the characters.
I'm editing this because, well, I didn't write my 1st review well at all. This started out so well.
This book gave a new meaning to angst. I would have loved this book if they communicated more and maybe stop thinking that they had to do what was best for the other without asking what the other wanted.
This was a nice read. It doesn't bring new elements to the bodyguard trope, but it was still very enjoyable because it has nicely developed characters, and it was well written.
