My first thought about a vampire in Gettysburg was, "HUH!?!" But, I love reading about Gettysburg--diaries, letters, regimental histories, etc.
Thought it was ingenious. Fun to read.
I really enjoyed this book what a great read. I never read anything that had the Civil War mixed with science fiction and vampires.
Blue Dawn over Gettysburg follows an unlikely hero through the course of the Civil War, tracing the historical events with a great adventure story. I look forward to this first-time-author's next efforts!.
Admittedly I am not a history/sci-fi buff, but this book held my interest all the way through. It is an easy read and has the correct historical facts, along with great description and character development.
The author offers an interesting perspective on why the Civil War ended as it did. The mix of correct historical data and facts with a science fiction spin is novel and pulls the reader into the story.
