Author Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson has written other books such as [[ASIN:1567510221 Against Therapy]], [[ASIN:0385314280 When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals]], etc. He wrote in the Introduction to this 1992 book, "In 1895 and 1896 Freud, in listening to his women patients, learned that something dreadful and violent lay in their past.
Fascinating opening up of the truth of Freud and Freud's published ideas. Very well documented, it exposes the clay feet of the idol that several generations of therapists and psychoanalysts worshiped (and still worship).
