I love how much more detail there was on the Mr. Hyde assignment and the extra details about Velken's whereabouts.

Well, I'll have to agree with most people; the book was better than the movie over all. The storyline was far improved compared to the movie, but that's to be expected simply because it's a book.
Gabriel Van Helsing was the most wanted man in Europe. Some called him a murderer and yet others a holy man.

Novelizations of films start with several strikes against them. The first is that they are written from the screenplay, often before the movie is actually filmed.

A terrific book!I saw and liked the movie and went out to buy the book, and was very impressed by Kevin Ryan's ability to take all that was good about the movie and make it great on the page.
A poor execution of a poor movie. I expect when reading books that are based on a movie that they gave something more that book didn't.
