Wonderful classic, everyone should read. and definitely make and effort to see a live production.
Excellent.
Gave this as a gift.
Again, thank you so much for shipping quickly. My son has to read this over the summer before the first day of school.
This is a classic story, very interesting and historical, but the cover seen on amazon is very different than the cover on the actual book I received. The book I received had an interesting looking girl on the cover, a live photo, super close up on her face.
I could not find this required summer reading for our grand daughter locally. Amazon came through again at a very good price.
This book is awesome. Well I haven't read it yet but I flipped through some of the pages and its flawless!
Had to get this for my theater class so I can write a paper on it. Have yet yto read it, so we shall see.
Few plays say as much about the classic dilemma of seeking independence or security than this one. It is a brilliant piece of writing.
I don't normally read plays, so I have to admit that I went into reading A Doll's House with a fair bit of trepidation. I needn't have worried, though, because I zipped through the book in one sitting and it provided me with much food for thought.
I was excited to read this story having recently been to Oslo, Norway (Henrik Ibsen's hometown), and toured the Ibsen Museum. I knew I would be interested in his plays based upon what I saw in the museum.

A Doll's House is the play that made Henrik Ibsen world famous; though it got substantial acclaim, much initial attention came from controversy - and some from outrage. However, time has sided with it, proving Ibsen's points and burying naysayers under a pile of narrow-minded hypocrisy; the play remains Ibsen's most popular and one of his most acclaimed, taking its high place in the world literary canon.
Classic tale of women's liberation. This book is a fabulous read and short enough for a young teen to grasp the concept.
Ladies, if you're unhappy at home, this book is definately for you. Timeless, controversial, and very telling about the said plight of overly self-sacrificing women.
