I read this book a couple of years ago, and the fact that I don't quite remember the specifics of the story, plot or characters should be a very good indication that this novel is a bit forgettable (the movie by the way is just as forgettable). I think Arriaga is better at writting screenplays than novels.

Guillermo Arraiga paints a convincing and deep portrait of Manuel, his main character. The story was very interesting and well told.
Adoro el modo de escribir de Guillermo Arriaga. Se le nota lo chilango a leguas al cabron.
Una excelente historia, muy bien narrada, aunque a veces abusa de recursos cinematograficos. Aun asi, espero que la pelicula proxima a estrenarse (Agosto 17) no defraude a los lectores.
