This book is a must have for everyone. It gives a great insight into the concepts of intuition or "gut feelings" and how we often ignore the verbal, physical and other signs that signal danger.
Pretty disappointing. After the first few chapter I couldn't even continue reading it.
Pretty good book.
Good read - did not have the impact on my thinking I was told it might.
Good book to make you take notice of your surroundings.
Required reading!.
Excellent book on security.
Typical Gavin de Becker - he tells it like it is. Either ya listen & read & heed, or you're gonna be shocked someday when the wolf comes knocking at your door.
If the country had followed the author's sensible counsel, we would be 1000 times better off today. Instead, panic and hysteria won the day, and (after the Boston Marathon bombing), they are STILL winning.
Great personal safety tips that will relieve uneasiness in situations such as dark allys and gives you the confidence to trust your gut instincts. Highly recommend.
With the recent events in our society, and the spotlight focused on these, this is a good book that will lead you to take control of your little spot in the world.
I was required to read this book for a college course. I believe it is a great book and was very pleased with the content.
Ignorance is dangerous and can cause serious emotional scars when things are treated as impossible. Your entire sense of false security is shattered when that "impossible" event occurs.
I read this book immediately following the author's "The Gift of Fear". I don't agree that it's recycling material from his first book.
I read The Gift of Fear, by the same author a couple of years ago, and I loved it. I was really thrilled with what I was learning about fear, human instincts, intuition, protection, etc.
