It covers all the essential topics in the early development of quantum mechanics in detail and is a good reference book to have in your physics library.

If you read and understand Messiah, you can achieve a powerful understanding of many aspects of quantum mechanics. It is quite thorough in what it covers, and can serve as an excellent reference.

Even if it's a bit dated, that's a good quantum books, that covers almost every topics even if sometimes it's a bit too fast.
