This book has all the information you need to get you up and running your own studio.
This book is strictly introductory level. I personally didn't have much use for it and was disappointed that it didn't offer more insight beyond the basics.
I'm putting together a home studio and checked this book out from the library after ditching a couple others that were boring and poorly organized. This book has an excellent layout, with concise sections packed with tips that beginners should understand.
This is a wonderful book if you are looking to get started recording. As a performer, I wasn't exactly sure where to start when I wanted to start recording, but this book has answered the questions that I've had and brought up things that I hadn't even thought about!!
