A very interesting and thought-provoking novel; It was full of suspense which kept us on the edge of our seats. Smith takes you on a true roller coaster ride of emotions.
I enjoyed the first 80% of this book but the last few chapters seemed so ridiculous to me that there was a lot of eye rolling and I had to put the book down in frustration at times.I would still recommend this as a read based on the content that it explores but be prepared for a ridiculous ending.
I couldn't put down this thought-provoking thriller. Bravo, Dwayne Alexander Smith!.
Generally, I would recount the story from my own perspective, but the author did such a great job with the synopsis there is no need. Forty Acres was an interesting spin on the topic of slavery.
