Dr. SeussCat in the Hat
Geisel received his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H., and conducted his postgraduate work at Lincoln College, Oxford. He served in the army during World War II and later became an editorial cartoonist for PM newspaper in New York City. In 1958, Theodore Seuss Geisel founded Beginner Books, Inc.
