Once you get past the silly first couple of chapters, you realize Don is telling his story with the same fast-paced, sarcastic humor we've all come to love about him. It's a truly enjoyable and interesting life story.
Hubert Wolf delivers a fascinating, intriguing, extraordinary true story, about one of the biggest scandals in the history of the Church in the 19th century. A shocking, behind the scenes account of political and religious issues, hidden behind closed doors.
I do not read a lot of books but when i saw this i knew i had to get it. ive read this book 3 times now and i love it.
Thank you for a trip back in time and for the anecdotal stories.Good thing Frank was his friend otherwise some of those jokes could havegotten him in real trouble.
A funny book with a lot of stories about show biz friends. I enjoyed it.
I was so dissapointed in this book that I came to make a review and then stumbled on one I should have read before I purchased this book. See the review: RICK SHAQ GOLDSTEIN SAYS: "MERELY SNIPPETS OF RICKLES!
A hilarious book, one that you can read in one sitting. You could listen/read to his stories all day long.
I bought this because I know Don. He is a bit under appreciated with the kids these days.
I really enjoyed this book. It's nice to read a book with a happy ending and that doesn't involve some evil dark side of a comedian.
Funny and Entertaining? Not really.
First let me state that I am a BIG Don Rickles fan, been one for over 40 years. I'm a musician (trumpet) and have had the honor of working with him (New Years's Eve 1996, Tropicana Hotel in Vegas).
